Description:
The microprobe is equipped with an Energy
Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS) and five wavelength dispersive spectrometers
(WDS). It has both back-scattered electron and secondary electron
detectors for imaging. X-ray signals can also be used for X-ray
mapping. The microprobe is operated through a PC based system by
Geller MicroAnalytical.
We are working on offsite operation. Off
campus users will be able to operate the microprobe from their home base
without need to come to the laboratory.
